The UAE Disabled Sports Federation

Crescent is a regular sponsor of sports for the disabled, however, its contribution towards this federation in 2008 will enable 19 participants to travel to Beijing to compete in the 2008 Olympics.

The Rashid Pediatric Therapy Centre

Crescent has been supporting this humanitarian organization which provides quality education and therapy services to children with special needs since it was inaugurated in 1994. Through its contributions, Crescent ensures that international standards of excellence in education and therapy are maintained at every level. The annual contribution also develops awareness and an understanding of disability issues in the Gulf Community.

The construction of a new academic building in the The American University of Sharjah is being financed by Crescent Petroleum through the generosity of our Chairman, Hamid Jafar, who is also founding member of the Board of Trustees of the Univeristy.

Lebanese Educational Fund

Crescent also supports educational causes and institutions in various countries and has contributed to the Lebanese Education fund since its creation by the Bank of Sharjah. Its contributions towards this fund have helped in the opening of the Lycée Libanais Francophone Privé Dubai School.

Crescent has over the years actively supported initiatives associated with Churchill College, UK and
Cambridge University, UK.
