Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services: (SCHS)
SCHS is headed by H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammed Al-Qasimi, Member of the High Council and Ruler of Sharjah. SCHS aims to change the society's attitude and behavior towards the disabled. It paves the way to a bright future for both mentally and physically challenged children, giving them confidence and a chance to live in society with equal opportunities.
Crescent Petroleum, as one of the main sponsors of this Association, generously contributes with the aim of providing education, care, training and rehabilitation to over 2000 children and adults with special needs
The Emirates Society for the Rehabilitation of the Blind
Crescent contributes to this society aimed at supporting and aiding the blind under the chairmanship of H.H. Sheikh Saqr Mohammad Bin Khalid Al-Qassimi.
Handicapped Guardian Association
Crescent is one of the main sponsors of the Handicapped Guardian Association which was established in 1996, in accordance with the directions of H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al-Qassimi, member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Sharjah. This association is considered to be the first national association all over the Gulf Countries, and was established to support children with special needs and to preserve the rights of the physically and mentally challenged and protect them from being exploited. Through its generous contributions, Crescent helps control and follow up the services offered to the handicapped, to satisfy their social needs and to set up programs and plans that secure the principle of their amalgamation into the society.
