Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring the appropriate standards, equipment and competence are employed for all lifting activities.
- Responsible for assuring the appropriate standards are employed for all WAH activities.
- Technical responsibility for all lifting plant, equipment and machinery.
- Coordinate efforts of lifting activities to ensure business objectives are successfully met.
- To ensure accurate development, implementation of the appropriate lifting standards.
- To ensure accurate administration of the Computerized Maintenance Management System.
- To ensure that sub- contractors are managed safely and effectively.
- To liaise and co-operate with other departments, ensuring awareness of schedule & ongoing maintenance activities.
- To ensure that all maintenance personnel, service contractors and personnel involved in lifting activities are provided with adequate and suitable information in order to carry out their work in a safely and effective.
- To participate in the effective monitoring, audit and review of lifting activities, equipment and procedures, and to contribute to their further development and continuous improvement.
- To prepare daily, weekly and monthly maintenance and construction reports as defined.
- Ensure the strict adherence to Safety, Health and Environmental policies.
- To ensure the Permit to Work (PTW) system is adhered to and that all activities are in compliance with the appropriate standards.
- To promote effective communications through participation in regular, STOP Safety Meetings.
- To manage through detail planning and preparation the execution of both PPM and Corrective Maintenance works in a safe, efficient and cost effective manner.
- To manage logistical support in area of lifting, scaffolding, and other services.
- To participate fully, where required, in the investigation and reporting of accidents and incidents.
- To provide technical support for the performance of all aspects of Lifting Equipment operation, care and maintenance.
Qualifications & skills:
- Recognised qualifications in lifting and WAH procedures.
- 10 years minimum experience in all aspect of lifting activities.
- Relevant on / off shore experience of hydrocarbon processing/utilities plant.
- Knowledge and experience of all aspects of WAH equipment (scaffold, MEWP’s etc).
- Effective decision-making, communication and interpersonal skills, including persuading and presentation skills.
- Experience of training in an expat environment.
