User Support Engineer

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine hardware and software installations including desktop/laptop Operating systems
  • Respond to requests for technical assistance from users within the organization in person, via phone or electronically
  • Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues
  • Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention
  • Coordinate with and assist other members of the team in various IT projects
  • Liaise with different IT vendors to get product support and/or quotes
  • Provide computer orientation to new company staff

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 1 to 1.5 years experience in IT user support or help desk environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering / Information Technology / Telecommunication
  • Certification from Microsoft and / or good skills in office applications like Word, Excel, Outlook etc. will be an added advantage
  • Good oral and written communication skills
