BADR JAFAR - President

Mr Badr Jafar is President of Crescent Petroleum, supporting the CEO and overseeing business development and financial deal-structuring activities for the company. He is also Managing Director of the Crescent Group and CEO of Crescent Investments, which covers the Group’s non oil and gas companies and investments. He also serves as Chairman of Gas Cities LLC, and of Pearl Petroleum. Badr Jafar attended Eton College and graduated from Cambridge University with a Masters Degree in Engineering and a Business Degree from the Judge Business School of Cambridge University.

He is active in a variety of other industries regionally and internationally including, aviation - serving as a Director of Gama Aviation (UK), shipping - serving as Vice-Chairman of Gulftainer Ltd (UAE), real estate - serving as a Board Member of Enshaa PSC (UAE) and private equity - serving as a Board Member of GrowthGate Capital (Bahrain). Badr Jafar is also involved in the manufacturing and marketing of high-end consumer products worldwide and has founded Collo Ltd (UK) and Persicus Inc (USA). He is an active member of the Young Presidents’ Organisation and Chairs the Alumni Advisory Council of the Cambridge University Judge Business School, as well as sitting on their International Advisory Board. He is also a member of the Business Advisory Council of the American University of Sharjah. Mr Jafar was recently honoured as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum.
